my microwave smells of curry

thanks to dh developing a fondness for an iceland balti ready meal... sigh.
every time i use it now it stinks.

how do i get rid of the smell???????????

half a lemon is meant to work in fridges...

You could rub the inside of his arse with a lemon but that would be more of a punishment for eating Iceland ready meals.

i think if you put a bit of bicarb in overnight it might absorb the smell. or try putting a teaspoon in a bowl of water and nuke.

Here's what you do:

Fill a pyrex bowl (or any microwavable bowl)with water, to about two inches from the rim . Put a thick slice of lemon in the bowl and microwave on 'High' for 2 minutes. As soon as it pings, take the bowl out and wipe over the inside of the microwave with a clean, damp cloth.

Afterwards, if you dip the cloth in the bowl, you can use it to shine up the outside of the microwave too.

I agree the lemon in water tip works a treat, also good for loosening any hard to remove splashed from inside the microwave.
