Who do you find cheaper overall for on-line food deliveries - Sainsbury's or Tesco?

You do your shop on the site and it tells you how much it will cost at ASDA, Sainsburys, Tesco and Waitrose (everything substituted like for like) It will also show you all the deals on the things you buy and swaps to make your shop cheaper.

I always do my shopping with my supermarket and tesco always come at least £5-£10 cheaper than sainsburys, whats shocking is i save about £20 compared to waitrose! How can they charge so much for the same stuff

Tesco is usually about £10 cheaper than sainsbury's for me on a £50-60 shop. Infact I used to work at Sainsbury's and still shopped at Tesco (but they never got round to giving me a discount). I did the pricing and noticed most sainsbury's products were either the same price or more expensive than tesco.

You can also get vouchers for money off online shopping for most supermarkets. There are usually some codes posted on moneysavingexpert

I shop between both supermarkets and find it varies - at the moment Sainsbury's is winning for me, but I tend to buy chicken from M&S or Waitrose as it's much nicer (we think).

If I can get it together and have a big shop coming up I check out shopping list on mysupermarket.com - if I was online shopping I would def use that website rather than going direct to the supermarket website.

Thanks all. I used to use supermarket.com, but I found that whatever supermarket I elected to shop with initially always brought up things cheaper. Plus, I have to book a couple of weeks in advance to get the delivery slot I want, and theh the offers they suggested were not not valid then.

I didn't realise there was such a difference between Tesco and Sainsburys - that's what I needed to know - thanks.
