How can I clean sticky tape from glass?

Hi everyone

I am being driven mad. My DC's taped up some cards on the glass doors, leaving big sticky, gummy marks behind. I have tried everything I can think of, WD40, Nail polish remover, a soft scrubby sponge and even a plastic ice scaper but the gunge is not for budging. I have taken to leaving the open all the time as its less noticable.
Does anybody have any ideas for how to get my glass shining and smear free again?

try wd40 again but let it soak in for a bit
