Sticky frosted glass

We have converted part of our old bedroom into a bathroom. Rather than get new windows fitted, I remember reading about a company that does stick-on frosted glass. Apparently you stick the sticker on to normal glass and it gives the frosted glass effect.

Has anyone used these and if so are they good?

I used some sticky frosting on a landing window. It looked great until it got damp underneath then it went white where the water had got and looked awful.

We got ours from Homebase I think

yes I have it in my bathroom. they cut it to size and if you apply it properly it will not come off, even if you clean windows

we didnt use this company but very similar

You can get it from B&Q too.

Wow it's quite expensive!

When we had to "block up" our velux window because of issues with the neighbours, DH bought a sheet of frosted glass, and fitted it in front of the other glass with 4 little wooden batons (sp?).

It was cheap and easy but would be fiddly if you had lots of individual panes to do?

We used this

I buy it on a roll, used it in our en-suite at the last house, it is fine to use even on shower screens.

it is best to have 2 of you do it but I have done several windows on my own. Instructions here

It is cheap and fab, I bought their straight edge to help with the fitting and a new stanley knife to cut it.

we used some from here in our bathroom. It has been on for 3 years, and still looks great, and no sign of it shifting.
