Our place is a total mess with DH's DIY & both being on school hols. So while DS goes to Playball & DH goes to the gym I will get some stuff done that doesn't include real house cleaning as it would be pointless. Mainly paperwork and getting stuff ready for school & work. See ya Tuesday.

morning all

Just popping in
beds made
bathrooms ss'd
dishwasher on
birthday cake made

now need to get the boys dressed for a day out at the local wildlife park.

Had great chat with DH lastnight, he feels very very depressed about his relationship with DS1 and can only see the bad, he admitted that at the point that DS1 is cheeky it wipes out a whole day og good behaviour for him. I have talked about us trying to resolve it for DH.
so current plan.
DS1 is questioned about his cheek "would you speak to your teacher like that?" then the next cheeky thing that is said he goes onto the mat. This then means that DH doesn't have the build up of DS1 "constantly" giving him lip.

BRB - bum wiping required!

Morning all

Hope everyone is well. Nutty hotpot sounds yummy. greyskull sounds like a good plan. DD is very cheeky and DH doesn't react to it all all well either. Like a red rag to a bull infact. Dyls bless at DD for being excited. I always had to share a betroom until I was about 10 and I can still remember now how excited I was when I got my own. Hello to everyone else

DD is still in PJs been up since 9 but can't get her dressed cos she is too busy playing. I have sneaked away from playing school and mummys/daddys again

Todays list

  • Couple of e-mails to write and send
  • Washing x3 I think
  • Sort gym bag out
  • Paperwork mountain that didn't get done the other day
  • Take DD to first ballet class this afternoon - she is soo excited. I'm really nervous that she won't like it
  • Scan some Sign language notes for my friend to use at class
  • Look at next childcare assignment as I'm getting behind with it.

Right best get lunch done and DD dressed - back later

dylsmum1998 · 15/04/2010 12:11

HAHA Ruby I read your thread as you pricked dd's fingers at first looks like dh can't go away airports are closed for today

Power hope the startegy works for dh and ds so that relations can improve

MC hope dd loves her ballet lesson

have been busy packing and unloading. done 4 loads today already. Stopped for lunch now then back to it. I estimate I have shifted nearly half the stuff I can fit in my little car.

Off to reload car as dc have finished eating.

may BBL

Sorry for not returning, things got kind of busy and we have only just got back from the wildlife park.
subsequently not more flying done today, but DH has a plan for dinner so I am not having to do that this evening

anyway - dyls sounds like you are a woman on a mission!! keep this up and you will be movd in no time
ruby good that DH has not been ale to go away - hope you have fun babysitting
mc how did the ballet lesson go?

Makingchanges · 15/04/2010 21:02

Evening all

I am a very proud mummy. DD loved Ballet class. There were three new starters but no one in her class turned up (not sure if it was due to a change in time or easter hols) so she joined the younger group. She joined in from start to finish - tried everything. Of the other two one cried and wouldn't let go of mummy and one just watched so I am very proud.

She is happy for me to leave next week (we aren't supposed to stay) so yay - but she was unhappy she hasn't got the shoes/skirt etc today. I've explained she has to wait a few weeks (to make sure she likes it first)

Nothing else really done today - did some shopping on the way home and took her to McDonalds for a treat to celebrate how well she had done (and told her not to expect it every day)

Think I'm going to put my feet up for the rest of the night

Dyls - crikey you move quick, good on you you'll be sorted in no time

Nuttybear · 15/04/2010 21:33

No flying today but boy will I have to set to it next week.
Greyskull In Sept DH went to see DS for the first time at gymnastics and was so disproportinatily angry at ds's lack of focus, chatting to friends, not doing as he was told that steam was coming out of his ears. This killed the whole weekend and made Ds & me feel bad about everything even sitting to dinner & my cuppa with the sunday papers. His reason 'his Dad was like that and so was he' wasn't good enough So I had to give him a serious talking to. His behaviour was as bad as a child that didn't get his own way. Now he can be angry for 10mins then let it go. Which I have to say, he has taken on board and his behaviour has improved since then shocking to have to treat a grown man like a child but hey!
I'm as mucky as a puppy so he lives with that too!
Dyls I imagine you'll be seriously making lists and sticking to it next week. Good luck with the move an opportunty do some serious flinging.
RR I'm babysitting on Saturday wish I had a laptop to take with me and I can chat on MN all night
MC I have decided only to play games I enjoy with DS. Skittles, lego and crafts so there!

thanks for that Nutty - I felt really awful for speaking to DH like he was a child last night - BUT I can't hear him saying that DS1 is a shit or an arsehole (to me - not within earshot of DS1) I have told him that is TOTALLy unacceptable and I will not have it.

it felt strange even having to tell him.

Nuttybear · 15/04/2010 22:33

The other day I told DH he had to go in the corner for as many mins as his birthday. That would be 54 mins then!!!!!!

Nutty greyskull I think its quite right to tell dhs off when they are behaving badly. I think men expect too much of their sons, they forget they are still small boys. I do the same with dd and dh tells me when I am over reacting too. All we have to say to each other is 'you sound like your father' or 'you sound like your mother' LOL.

dyl I am totally impressed with your efficiency (esp with 2 kids in tow) you must be superwoman!!

MC glad dd coped well at ballet. Its great when they can start doing things themselves a bit.

Hi everyone else.

Had a great night out last night . Have a fuzzy head today though (lightweight!). Going out with dh tonight as friend is babysitting .

Today:
laundry
park
