He told me not to let her have the pen!

what colour sofa?

you could try hairspray...it sometimes works

mrslurkalot · 12/04/2010 11:41

It's brown so not a complete disaster, but right in the middle of one of the seats so quite an obvious place!

wd40 or hairspray

LoveBeingAMummy · 12/04/2010 11:44

Hairspray works on keyboards, did you get a cleaning pack when you got the sofa, mine came with a pen remover?

Birdistheword · 12/04/2010 12:01

try babywipes!

"He told me not to let her have the pen" - did he think to put it put of reach or did he just issue orders as he left?

AlicesWonderland · 12/04/2010 12:14

try an eraser it worked on my table

boolifooli · 12/04/2010 12:35

whatever you try, please try it on an inconspicuous area first.

MamaGlee · 12/04/2010 12:36

STOP

if it's natural leather, any sort of cleaning product will fuck it

if it's processed it should be ok

if natural, ring the shop for advice

mrslurkalot · 12/04/2010 12:45

Thanks all, think I will try a bit on the back before I start in the middle of the seat! By the way I'm not scared that I'll get into trouble, just want to avoid the whole rolling eyes, 'told you so' conversation!

i used a lightly damp cloth and Dove soap to get blue biro off cream leather sofa. and made sure the soap was wiped off properly after.

but maybe asking where you bought it would be a good start, just in case!!
