My 2yr old son is in there at the moment! It's a good hide-and-seek location!

On the shelves (out of reach of children I might add) we have white vinegar, e-cloths, dusters, scourers, Cif, Dettol, kitchen towel and baby oil.

Lemons are handy to have around too as a halved lemon rubbed over taps and sinks will leave them shiny.

BertieBotts · 09/04/2010 15:16

Ooh thanks everyone - forgot to ask, can you do a quick rundown of what you use everything for? I am a bit clueless when it comes to this but trying to raise my standards!

white vinegar for sinks, showers, toilets, baths. Use neat for toilets and put in spray bottle with water for everything else.

Cif - for the same but it has an extra nice smell

e-cloths - pretty much everything

lemons - halved over taps and steel sinks to make them shiny

baby oil - to make stainless steel items gleam (fridgefreezer, kettle etc)

I also have the usual ironing board, dustpan and brush, vacuum cleaner, feather duster on long stick for hard to reach spots!

I clean windows with scrunched up newspaper and white vinegar

ImSoNotTelling · 09/04/2010 15:21

the best 2 products on the market IMO are Flash Lemon all purpose wipes which i use for my worktops etc addicted to these and Flash ultimate spray which is brillianr for baths sinks etc etc etc it really stinks but the results are great

displayuntilbestbefore · 09/04/2010 15:23

they are cloths that don't leave static so are great for dusting, cleaning, you name it. You can buy them everywhere - supermarkets, Dunelm Mill, DIY stores etc

oh god are we including washing powders??

i really cant tell you how many different sorts i have.....its shameful.

Its so bad if my friends or dh see a new smelly one they buy it for me as a gift and I really am very happy.

Sonilaa · 15/04/2010 07:25

I just added it because it "lives" in the same cupboard as the cleaning stuff...

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 15/04/2010 07:44

I don't have a cleaning cupboard, i am lazy and keep each thing in its own room.

So both bathrooms have squirty bathroom cleaner and a cloth in them - oh, and windex. Both loos have a toilet duck and a toilet brush.

Kitchen has dishwashing powder and washing up liquid, floor cleaner, squirty Ajax stuff for surfaces, stovetop cleaner, oven cleaner.

Laundry has laundry detergent, conditioner, bleach, biotex.

Living area cupboard has wooden floor cleaner, carpet shampoo, baking powder (do I mean soda? For shaking on carpet/smelly chair where cat sleeps before vacuuming), orange furniture oil, duster, cloths.

Cupboard under fishtank in sitting room has various fishtank specific stuff.
