We have just been looking for a cheapy leather suite for a 2nd sitting room were predominantly the kids will lounge and throw themselves all over. It will be in a very sunny room so fading an issue perhaps - is it?? That said i still want it to look stylish. We have just been to soemwhere called suite world that had a damaged/ soiled black leather suite in which for a 2 seater and 3 seater was £299 - the marks on it are almost lookig like white dust marks - the guy said he had rubbed thme witha leather cleaner and they had come back when it dried. Is there something super duper you can do with leather that this has happened too or is it fooked? DH thiks we should get regardless as it will do the job. I sid i wasnt sure and he said mumsnet it

I think it is fooked...I have a leather sofa, soft leather and it marked on the seat and I could never ever get the mark out, whatever the mark was it just got worse and went really dark over time. Even when I tried to deal with it using special leather cleaning stuff it still wouldn't shift it. The company I bought it off, sent me two addtional covers in the end that I had to pay for. I don't think I would pay 299 for a sofa with marks on it TBH.

Thanks i just wondered if it was a regular fault with leather that could be easily fixed - perhaps not.
