I was all set to buy a shag pile carpet for my stairs and upper hallway. At the last minute was advised it's not suitable for 'high tred' areas so am back to square one.
I would like something modern, patterned if possible but can't be striped as my house is quite old and the walls are not even so stripes wouldn't look good so i've been told.
Does anyone have a pattered carpet which looks modern? Floral would be good but in a bold print.
But any ideas greatly appreciated - interior design is not my forté.
