Attic needs a good clear out

We are both off work next week so have decided after our lovely little invasion of field mice that our attic needs emptying & sorting out.

What do you store your things in?

Our Christmas decs are in huge plastic crates that stack but the rest of our stuff is just plonked wherever.

I need storage ideas for our skiing gear & general rubbish that dh needs like old pc parts etc.

We have boarded the attic out already.

More plastic crates (with lids) are the way to go.

He was helping to tidy our attic and accidently put an antique swinging cradle through the ceiling.

We're thinking of converting our attic so we'll obviously have to clear it out first. I'm not sure where I will put everything afterwards. I shall need to be really ruthless!
