has it stopped altogether - ie no power to it,

or not picking up?

My dyson looked like it had given up the ghost - but it was the filters clogged and the sweeper bit that goes round was clogged with bits of string / hair / paper so no chance of going round. Cleaned all the filters and the sweeper bit and hey presto it was fine.

If you have the handbook / instructions there should be a fault finding section. try that and if it doesnt work, call argos.

If its not starting at all so its a power problem then definitely take it back.

It should certainly last longer than a few months, even if it was reduced, end of line etc. Contact Argos about it - they may give you a refund or replacement, or may say you have to contact the manufacturer - it should be under warranty for at least the first year with the manufacturer, if not longer.

Take it back. It should last longer than a few months. If they tell you to contact the manufacturer, decline. You don't have to do that. Your contract is with Argos. They have to deal with the manufacturer, not you. Whether or not they can get anything back from the manufacturer is not your concern.

Argos are usually pretty good at returns like this - we bought a stairgate from them and it broke after 3 months, they took it back no problem at all.

oh good!

yes,no power....i rang the helpline and they said it sounds like over heating. gave me a few things to try,but had no luck.

i will take it back tomorrow i think then!
