Washing IKEA sofa covers...

Ektorp beige sofa covers - just how washable are they - do they shrink?? Can I tumble dry???

I have these.
My advice would be to wash them at 30 and use a 'colour powder'.
I really don't think it would be a good idea to tumble dry them even though they are mostly cotton; the underside of the cushion covers are made of some manmade material (as I learn't when I was ironing them and melted a bit)
I have had mine about five years and my dd was not potty trained when we got them, so the covers have been washed a fair bit; they still look pretty good.

We had a www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S99840381Karlstad sofa for 5 years. Covers were cotton but said dry clean. I washed them numerous times on 30'C with no problems, easier to fit back on whilst slightly damp (no ironing).
