didnt know where to post this. Does anybody rent their washing machines and/or televisions etc. Am just thinking that it would be nice to rent both, knowing that they will come out and fix if any problems, also would be able to have much better make than if i bought and could upgrade at a later date. I know it isnt particularly economical longterm but we have gone through at least 5 washers and 3 tvs in 6 years .

It's totally not economical!!! Save up and buy a miele washing machine - they don't break down. Many come with a 10 year guarantee.

Buy a TV that comes with a decent guarantee, John Lewis give 5 year guarantees.

These are not cheap options, but they are a helluva lot cheaper than renting!!!

If you've gone through 5 washers, you've had a very bad run of luck - a washing machine should last 5 years at least. You'd be better off complaining to the retailer you bought from.

we rent a tv and video. it's great you get upgrade for no extra money as usual. just always done it!

southeast, who do you rent from? some of the washers were second hand but 2 cheap ones from argos ,1 tv was second from mu mum, one from aldi and one that we have now from argos and looking like on way out.It would prob be wise to save up and buy decent models, but would take me ages to save ,was just thinking that renting may be better than splashing out on a credit card.

from boxclever think they used to be radio rentals.

with washing machines we've just bought cheapo ones from comet, they don't seem to last long so don't bother spending loads on them now.
