Can you wash clothes using bi-carb?

Have run out of washing powder and need to wash clothes, I have a delivery tomorrow with washing powder on it. Can I pop some bi-cab in to wash them? If so how much?

I suppose so, though tbh water and asgitation does most of the work

I'd rub soap / Vanish / washing-up liquid into stains and sweaty armpits then wash without any other detergent

not too much washing up liquid though or you'llhave an exploding foam crisis!
