My friend just showed me a bottle of spray (called HG Mould Spray) from Lakeland which apparently is fab but not sure whether it would work on canvas. She used it on black mould on the window sealent etc/bath grout etc but you could look at their website and check or emial them if not.

If it is a plain cream canvas then paint it with neat strong bleach and after an hour or overnight, rinse it off.
Is it a deck chair cover?

I use a very hot solution of the Whizz oxy powder, very cheap from Netto. I have found this to be the only thing that will get mildew stains off fabric, and is not so harsh on the fabric as bleach can be. I found it when I thought I would boil wash some bibs belonging to my twins, the little monkeys had hidden a few under the sofa, so they were a bit manky yuk!! I put a scoop of the powder in the pan. Some colurs can run with this so you do need to be careful if it is coloured fabric. I hope this helps.

I have scrubbed canvas chairs (single layer of canvas type material) with aeriel biological(rubbish spelling - sorry) liquid and this seemed to do the trick, when used virtually neat - but use gloves and rinse well and it's probably not very kind to the environment , BUT the chairs went white again...
