how do you get plasticine out of carpets, i don't think it can be done

i have just shampooed it and scrubbed it and still there is a faint purple and red mark!

I think a hot iron and kitchen roll tissue or greaseproof paper should get the plasticine out but sounds like you just have a colour stain from it. Don't know how to get that out.

oh should have asked before shampooing. oh dear, thanks anyway.
