Food Mixers/Processers: any recommendations?

My Kenwood food processor finally broke yesterday, the base has had crack in it for ages and a piece fell off yesterday. I hadn't been very happy with the robustness of it for a while, so now I can get another mixer I am wondering what to get.

I am looking at a KM265 Prospero Compact Food Mixer, which looks a bit tougher. It seems to have quite a few reasonable reviews. The biggest thing I would make in it would be a fruit cake, and my old processor used to struggle a bit with all the ingredients! Probably why it broke...The bowl is just over 4 litres, so is that be large enough to make a decent sized fruit cake in, without the flour flying out over the sides of the bowl? It would mainly be for cakes and meringues, but I did use the liquidiser and grater attachments which this model also comes with. Has anyone else got one, or recommend something else? It's on offer at Comet at £130 at the moment, don't really want to spend much more as the microwave also blew up this weekend too, but want something that will last. Having said that, just worked out that I had the last processor for 11 years! Thanks
