irons any recommendations

thats it really my iron from argos which is philips has packed up after 2 months so on my way back to get a refund does anyone know of good iron they could recommend as i wont be going with philips again.

Can't help you, but I go through irons at a ridiculous rate. Have been recommended by several friends one of these @"steam generators" - expensive but apparently great. Tefal, Philips I think, sure other makes as well.. I am off this afternoon to check out. Don't see though, how they solve the basic problem of however careful you are with softened water etc, irons just get clogged and dirty and spit crap all over your clothes.
