It does seem very quiet lately ... where is everyone? I hope the Fly thread is not becoming deceased ... is everyone flying over the the Fledgling Fly thread?

Anyway, staying in again today, boiler being fitted still.

The school where I got my One to one tuition for 10 weeks just phoned me at 8.30 to do supply teaching! Unfortunately I have the boiler being fitted but otherwise that would be good! Not sure I like the short notice though LOL

right otherwise ladies better get on. hope to see you all soon!!

Morning +Wendy*, and thanks for the thread.

I did post on the FLYbaby thread, but I prefer it on here as I know you.....it feels like coming home on here.

I do need to get my act together in the house as well as chatting though.

I ended up with a house full all day yesterday, which was nice, but meant by the end of the day the whole place was back in a mess again, despite me getting it nice in the morning.

It is always good to be needed Wendy, even at short notice. Maybe you'll be able to do it next time.

Here is my list.

Collect bike from repair shop done
shopping
wash up
laundry
hoover
mop kitchen
check on line banking

Notice I am already falling into putting something on my list that I have just done, so I can tick it off already!

Morning Wendy and Jas

I don't post on the fledgling flyers thread, but have been known to lurk. I love this thread just life keeps stopping me getting online during the day how dare it.

Well my exam didn't go too well last night. We ended up getting a topic that we didn't get to cover due to cancelled lessons cos of the snow and the other two topics that I knew inside out didn't come up either. I also ended up spelling my dad's name wrong and also asked my tutor in the exam what his dead aunties names were - I'd better keep reset day free in June . I came home and opened a bottle of wine so i'm fine now

Onwards and upwards today though. Jobs to do

  • File my sign language notes read for new topic next week. I have notes in handbag, all over floor and settee and in my car.
  • file my governors notes from meeting. I'm sure that was on my list earlier in week
  • Lunch for all and DD to nursery
  • Me to school
  • Have a magazine cull. I subscribe to loads of magazine and then they pile up at the end of settee. Need to rip out bits I want to keep and throw the rest away
  • Make bacon and mushroom pasta for tea
  • Washing
  • Change beds I think today
  • Hoover lounge - my hoover broke yesterday, turns out it had swallowed some of DD's craft stuff and got stuck so had to pull bits of pipe cleaner etc out of it.
  • physio tonight
  • exercise and ice leg (just doing now as I write as didn't get change to do yesterday)
  • Cat to vet

Crikey that lot will keep me going until the weekend.

Back later

mission

grouchyoscar · 04/03/2010 12:23

Hello you

Done loads this morning. Now listening to The Cure!

Had a really good parent teacher meeting about Ed this morning

Got reading friends this afternoon and govenors tonight. Love to all Flygirls x

swanriver · 04/03/2010 12:33

It is very nice there on Fledglings though Wendy, lots of kindred spirits, and lots of teachers, well two..

Sometimes it is difficult to post one's thoughts and find no one is here to answer [boo hoo] makes one feel a mite foolish.

I do need to stay there as my house is falling way into arrears, and everyone here is v. v. organised.

having a particularly scrabbly type of day as cat is ill and need to entertain here tonight - just pondering whether to take my bookclub group for a Chinese, but do not have anyone's phone number - that's disorganization for you

bb in a few days

Makingchanges · 04/03/2010 12:52

Swan Maybe if you ring one of the bookgroup whose number you do have they may have the others and ou may get a full set that way. Chinese would be yummy. I'd love to be in your bookgroup if thats the kinda meetings you have.

OK DD to nursery - after a complete hissy fit as she saw something crawling on her and cried until she choked on her sandwich. I suspect its an ant as we are really prone to them and I did think I saw something out of the corner of my eye yesterday so rushed back to spray some ant killer around before school. I have a roomba so I will set that going for 1/2 an hour to clean up the powder before we come home.

I'm also at DH cos he has dumped everything in the spare room for FIL coming round to babysit yesterday and I had just got that room straight, now it is full to the gills again. Not Happy, but know if I have a go he will start on why things were lying around in the first place. Sometimes I feel like i have to be wonderwoman around here.

Better go or I'll be late, again

BBL

Hi All

This is such a quiet thread now, as Jas said yesterday. We used to get 100+ messages a day which is why we broke them down to seperate days. Agree with Jas that you should go back to one thread, then you wont miss each others updates..... (or feel ignored) ;)

EVye · 04/03/2010 13:38

Have had unexpected day off today so bought more storage and tidied up playroom.

swanriver · 04/03/2010 13:45

you are right MC have managed to contact all, and have relocated dinner.

Dh is good at tidying when he sets his mind to it, but has no concept of clutter. The word means nothing to him, until he actually trips over it or loses his raincoat. Then he gets furious, and says the house needs tidying or that the cat needs to go preferably the latter.

Little piles of coins and receipts perpetually litter his bedside table, ties hang perpetually over the sofa (which I am not allowed to move) his walkng boots - ever hopeful but not much action - are at the ready on the doormat.

now off to read my book!! hurrah
