I have to throw them away after a while because of the gunk that comes out when squidging them. I tried rinsing them with vinegar and airing them but nothing has worked so far. Its always a drama because ds loves them...

i think on previous threads someone has mentioned soaking and squeezing in milton. or mild bleach solution- but obviously making sure they are well rinsed and squeezed out before giving to dc's.

I've always used milton in the past. It works quite well if you soak them in it for a while.

I usually soak them in milton type stuff and squeeze them so they fill up with the soloution, leave them overnight and then rinse really well. I keep filling them up with clean hot water until i'm sure that the milton has been washed away.
