Can anyone recomend a decent dishwasher... mine has just broken, and we will be buying a new one @ the weekend.

Not looking to spend a huge amount (maybe up to £5oo), and would like one which last more than 2 years!

Many thanks.

We bought one fairly recently, one of the which best buys
It was £300 I think (from dixons)
whirlpool adp 5406

Pros:
Cleans very well
Has economy cycle and hot cycle with anti bacterial bit
Seems bigger than my last one even though it's in the same space

Cons:
Seems less easy to stack - not an obvious place for glasses, bowls etc
Seems 'cheaper' than the last one, interior is all plastic rather than metal

Alll in all, I'm very happy with it, I manage the stacking thing. Obviously I don't know how ling it'll last yet.

dixons were the cheapest by far when we bought it (maybe 4 or 6 weeks ago) and do free scrap of your old one, and £10 to reconnect your new one (although DH said he could do that, and so far so good )

I got a silver Bosch delivered from Argos a couple of weeks ago, just over £400, all fine. My last one was Bosch and it lasted years with no problems.

I would avoid buying from "Appliances on-line". Although cheap they failed to show up, a whole day stuck at home with a toddler, grr. I would also avoid buying from Comet. They delivered 2 different Hotpoint dishwashers in a week, both clearly broken. A complete waste of my time and I'm still arguing with them about getting a full refund. I've previously found Comet good but they were prepared to foist any old shoddy goods on me. For the same reason I'd also avoid Hotpoint.

I have a Neff dishwasher which came with our new house - 12 years ago, still going strong. If this was to break I would definitely have another Neff.

I've just replaced my crappy, useless, lump of turdness that was a Hotpoint and got a brand spanking new Bosch which I love and want to marry. Was £320 in Next who were amazingly cheaper than anyone else by over £100.

Everyone on here I asked said Bosch. I thought it'd have a little sticker on the front saying 'recommended by MNetters'

I had a Beko one for all of about a month, so defo not recommended, paid the extra and got a Bosch one instead and never had a hicup from it cleans fab.
