have posted this in food but may get more replies here? i am menu planning, bog standard stuff like pasta and homemade sauce, sausage and mash etc and was wondering what is a reasonable amount to spend per week/ month on food. this month (end feb to end march) i have £125 which isn't much but the month after i will be a little better off and want to set myself a regular amount. we are 2 adults (one v hungry dp) and one toddler (who eats the same as us). what do you reckon is reasonable?

my weekly shop is about £30, for three adults and 1 child. i make a list of all the things needed at the start of each week for all meals im going to make. before this i just used to wander around buying crap that i didnt need. also do this for lunches as im at home all day as is DS.
