Trying to get my head round the week, which seems a jumble of appts, arrangements, lessons, and now a coldy dd at home.
need to clear breakfast first

tired after being awake in night listenng to snoring husband, who, however much I prodded and rearranged him, kept snoring. He has taken two dcs to school though which was kind.

Morning again

Mini is tired, I am hoping he will fall asleep. I am very agree at the car, who poo's all over maxi's bed this morning, arggggggggggggggggggg

TeaMonster · 23/02/2010 09:37

Cat even!

swanriver · 23/02/2010 09:59

Aarrgh indeed Tea
we don't even let our top cat (2 years in April) in our bedrooms as he is a serial bed wetter - he just has a thing about OUR bed and dd's bed. Three duvets now are not quite the same The younger cat who is 9 months, has so far not peed anywhere except litter tray so he's allowed in bedrooms - keeping my fingers crossed.

not getting v. far this morning

Morning.

Would it help to tell you I have to leave to pick up ds from nursery, and I haven't even taken my coat off from dropping him off yet?!

Must get the place tidy if not clean today......

swanriver · 23/02/2010 12:00

I am having an officially BAD morning, nothing specific, just cannot cope wth being tired, don't know where to start with house, and dd (nearly 8 years) has just asked me how you draw an APPLE? I have handed her the picture dictionary and apple is not in it I am not in mood for craft tantrums a moment at all.

Done
two loads of washing
hung out one
shirts away
pjs upstairs
suitcases upstairs
project stuff rationalized
papers in kitchen dumped in playroom for filing
spices, oils, ketchup put away in cupboard

dd has done her bookmark for school competition and a bit of communion homework
we are listening to Young Person's guide to Orchestra

now a friend has come to sit for dd, and I have to go to school library and then take ds1 for a powerwalk as he can't do PE

Lemsip in order I thnk, and need to make dd a sandwich too.

morning all

swan sorry to hear about your bad morning, hoping rest of day improves.

TM grrr at cat indeed.Hope mini had a sleep for you

jas tidy is my aim for today too...could take all week though judging by state of house. Did you see my apologies about book club last night?? Book will be dispatched asap

well, I woke up feeling just so exhausted and really low, which then translated into unbearable grumpiness and irritability with dc...

Anyway, deposited dcat school, and have thenhad quite productive morning an am now feeling somewhat brighter!
So far have done:
6 DC up,dressed,fed, 4 to school
Spoke to dd3 teacher to arrange meeting with SENCO (today at 3)
Long walk with doggy,dd4 and ds2
4 or 5 loads of laundry
S&S upstairs bathroom
Tidied girls and littlies room
Been through girls and littlies wardrobes, put out all grown out of clothes for loft/charity,re-arranged jumble of clothes left and generally straightened and sorted all clothes. Also returned items to correct rooms following DH "helping" with the clothes last week!!
Checked seeds in airing cupboard- found tomatoes, lettuce and basil have germinated yay! so moved to window sill. Whispered words of encouragement to spinach and peppers and returned to airing cupboard!
Tidied and dusted dining room, swept floor, wiped doors
Tidied and dusted lounge,re-organised box of DS2 toys(banished a lot back upstairs!) Wiped doors and hoovered.
Tidied kitchen, wiped surfaces, tidied hot spotswiped doors, loaded and run DW,swept floor
Swept hall, sorted random assortment of shoes that was scattered over floor.
Lunch dd4 and ds2
Nursery drop off
rebooted laundry
rung Speech and language therapist to arrange app time for dd3
emailed consultant about job
Now: cuppa and chill

Then: school - meeting with head and dd3 teacher (stressed about this!)
Collect dc
Shopping - not great with 5 dc,but now unavoidable!
Long walk with doggy and all DC, ignoring protests of it being too cold
Homework,reading etc
shared stories (in the midst of yet another TV ban LOL)
dinner
baths
bed

Floors need mopping too really, but may have to wait till tomorrow!

may BBL

Makingchanges · 23/02/2010 13:48

Afternoon all

wow OFM I am of your list - you have done loads.

Swan sorry you have had a rubbish morning, hope the day gets better.

I have had a rubbish morning too. I have had to ring school up as my knee is swollen and hurting and I'm struggling with walking and driving and standing too long (It keeps giving way) so have told them I can't come in today. I've sat on the floor with my leg propped on cushions and played with one of DDs games this morning and played with her teddies and all was well until the biggest tantrum I have seen her make. She didn't want to go to nursery (Despite her best friend being there today) and cried and cried and I had to hold her down. I ended up massaging her feet to calm down (used to like when she was littler) and she has gone fine. Don't know what has caused that. Anyway I feel rubbish, still struggling with general aching as well so not planning on doing much.

List

Ring school done
DD to nursery done eventually
Ring physio for an appointment to look at knee - Done - Booked in for Saturday
Shopping - Done Hobble round Sainsburys (Spent too long in 25% off clothing section) and now sat with ice pack on my knee
Tidy out DDs wardrobe
tidy our bedroom (carried forward from yesterday
Washing

Going to leave it at that cos I don't want to hurt my knee any more. Off to find some paracetamols

BBL

swanriver · 23/02/2010 15:13

ouch MC poor knee
I think dds can tell somethng's up can't they, mine was not in best of moods either, well done for calming her down
must try foot massaging more often, dcs love it, dh hates it, I love it, and am miserable when my feet are cold or sore

LOL at veg whispering and "spotswiping" that's an excellent new word OFM really sums up my cleaning efforts

done a bit, dd wouldn't stay with friend for long so
took reluctant ds1 for a short run, then WII Resort at home (couldn't see the slightest puff being caused by it - )
put dd in front of telly at 2.00pm to stop myself getting cross with her as she was complaining about ds being on Wii

cleaned kitchen tg
three loads of washing done, 1 dry, one drying none put away

need to empty bin on way out to pickup

hey all
Just shouted at DS to try and make him see how it feels! - things were very frantic and shouty here - him shouting and DD, DD shouting at him, despite 20 mins of strategies to calm things down nothing worked! Sent him upstairs. Quiet now .
Tea is on
Been to a party with DD this afternoon. This morning made some buns, tidied and did washing. Went to playgroup for an hour to see my friends there (no child to take any longer!) - really lovely.
Meant to be going to see Avatar at last tonight if snow holds off!
Cross as I put yoghurt in last night and it hasn't set (I have one of those EasyYo yoghurt makers, it's fab). Just been looking up what I did wrong!
See you tomorrow.

swanriver · 23/02/2010 16:59

Very quiet here in swan household
dd has retired to bed and is sewing on brownie badges I haven't dared look
ds2 was being tiresome for about five minutes but is now playing trains upstairs
ds1 is lying on floor doing his homework - oh he wants help now

OP posts:
swanriver · 23/02/2010 17:05

dd has just said she wants to clear out the ashes in the fireplace and for me to write and tell you all

don't think any yoghurt of mine would ever set...
