venetian blinds - how to clean them without a bath?

Saw Kim and Aggie cleaning venetian blinds by dipping into a bath with biological soap powder and water then leaving to drip dry. Have tried this and was excellent, used to do it every couple of months as blinds seemed to get dirty with traffic pollution etc.
Have now moved house and only have a shower. Any suggestions for cleaning without a bath? Am reluctant to use duster etc... as it takes hours to wipe each bit iyswim, but want to keep on top of it.
Any suggestions?

Have just spent ages today cleaning my wooden blinds in the living room. Soul destroying job. And by the time I finished the dust was already starting to build up again!

Moomaa I might buy one of these dyson attachments. It could well a great problem solver to the dreaded wooden blind clean.

I've had the same problem. I found a great source of info here - Order Blinds
I found hoovering them first and then wiping them down with a wet cloth the most efficient way to be honest and it's a little bit satisfying seeing all the dirt come off.
You can apparently get a spray that then repells the dirt for some time after using it.

yes Venetian blinds do get disgusting if they aren't taken care of and soaking them in a bath tub doesn't always work because it doesn't always pull the dirt off. I was hoping by looking in this thread I would find the answer to my problem.

Oops newshoes121, I just saw your comment. Your ideas sounds great, but what about old dust which is stuck. Washing in a tub sounds good, but it is so time consuming to go after each plat to make sure it is extremely clean.

Well I shopped around a little looking for a good way to clean my blinds and I found this great duster on amazon (www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005QAECHQ/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B005QAECHQ&linkCode=as2&tag=browsforevery-21). Instead of getting your hands caught up and getting scratched from putting your hands in the blinds. You can wash the microfibre frabic and it can be used both wet and dry.

What advice for cleaning a metal Venetian blind which is over 5foot. More 6 foot.
