Just after Christmas we finished decorating our living room and had a HUGE clearout which we started in September, then last week had a new carpet fitted, it feels so good!
I suppose for years the carpet we had showed up every stain, (it was there when we moved in so I don't know how old it was), parts of it were becoming discoloured and it got to the stage where a major scrubbing and spraying session was in order if people were due to come round, especially as we have a house where the front door opens straight into a porch, with no door between that and the living room!
This new one looks lovely and every time I go in the living room I just smile, my dh says he's doing the same! After 6 months of hard work it's such a good feeling
