Faux leather sofa's

Does anyone have a artificial leather sofa and if so are you pleased with it?

I don't, but a close friend did have one. The surface of the fabric cracked quite a lot which looked horrible, and her cat scratched it badly. We have leather and 2 cats and neither of them have ever attempted to scratch them. My friend's faux leather sofa lasted probably 3 years and she's just bought another. I like to get the value, so I would want a sofa to last a LOT longer than 3 years but .
