Cold miserable day

Feeling very low

Not sleeping well, constantly stressed and worried about whole situation with dd3, and trying to sort fiasco of school situation out.....why is everything such a battle?

Now exhausted and fed up.

DH also being a total pain.....sometimes I wonder if it is a good thing having him off work all the school holidays

off formore coffee to tryand motivate myself!....think I'll bake today too...need a large chocolate sponge....and maybe some rocky road for dc....

Morning .

dyl what energetic outing do you have planned for today?

Ruby shame about the coat

OFM Have the school given you any work for dd? (maybe they haven't had chance yet). DS has quite alot of extra work (on top of usual homework) which I sit and do with him to help with his specific problems. Its a slog but I'm glad to have something concrete to do and because its come from his teacher and is handed back in DS is more motivated to do it.

swan sounds like a good holiday

Today:
dentist (fingers crossed, DD is not a good teeth brusher)
Leisure centre to book dds party

Cold and frosty here.

Simply · 18/02/2010 09:28

Bore da! Good morning!

Thanks for the thread dylsmum and well done on doing what you have already this morning. So far I've got up, had brekkie and put the d/w on and fed the cat.

Ruby I smiled at you insisting that you'd have a pleasant day in that 'even if it kills me' tone! Sorry to hear about the coat, though.

I've just remembered. De vere hotels have an offer on if anyone is interested here

OFM Sorry to hear that things are stressful atm. Can you take a bit of time off today just for you and do something you enjoy, maybe meet up with a friend or go swimming or something?

scatty Good luck at the dentist.

I'd best crack on! See you later.

Morning all

DH has gone away until Saturday evening so I'm making it my mission to get some jobs done whilst he's not around. I'm also going to do something creative with DD to keep her occupied and me less likely to shout, thats the plan. Tomorrow is the theatre, so will have lunch out (probably McD's as DD's fave) and take the tram into town which DD loves so that day will be taken care of and Saturday is dance class so that day is sorted too. So my plan for today is library to borrow a new book for DD (Shes addicted to reading a new book every night)and then pop into wilkinsons or pound shop for some feathers and some eyes as she has chosen to make the 20 toilet rolls she has collected into parrots

Jobs for me

Wash bedding
Sort out notes from yesterdays sign language pub session (definately the best way to work)
Sort out kitchen (I left DH to clear up whilst I went out but football was on so nothing got done)
print off photos for GP of cooking session earlier in week as they want pictures of chef
Sort out ironing pile - why is this never off the list of jobs
whats for tea - I have a fridge full of food so need to stay away from the frozen fast food in the freezer.

OFM - I'm sure that things will get sorted with school, surely its in their best interests to try and get things happening too (idealistic view I know). I would try and get an hour or so to myself. Me and DH would kill each other if we spent a week at home together with DD and no time to ourselves.
Ruby sorry to hear about the coat - hope today is a better day
Scatty good luck at the dentist. DD loves the dentist cos he tells her what lovely teeth she has. I suspect when she starts to go properly it will be a different outcome (Only goes with Daddy to get used to it)

Hello to anyone I missed, bet get dressed and get on with jobs

Waves hello waves goodbye

Makingchanges · 18/02/2010 16:04

Well parrot making turned into sludge coloured toilet rolls and paint all over DD and in her hair, cue an emergency bath. Then next doors grandkids have come round inviting her to a teddy's tea party so she is over there, leaving me to tidy up the paint. However the new crayola, washable paint we bought has stained DD's craft table (not too much trauma, its what its there for) and also has stained my wooden floor. Apparently the blue paint leaves a red stain and I can't get it off so very not happy.

So i'm sat here waiting for inspiration of what to try without taking the colour off the wood, or DH may just kill me. Arghhh

dylsmum1998 · 18/02/2010 16:24

mc have you tried cream cleaner (cif) on the floor? don't know if you can on wooden floor but takes paint stains off my lino (i think it is) on my kitchen floor

Hi All
Sorry I havent been around much lately. I'm a bit worried about dd2 tbh

see here

I'm sure I'm worrying over nothing....

Starbear · 18/02/2010 20:48

Hello, Everyone is so Busy, Busy. EVye Good luck with the appointment tomorrow. Hope she sleeps well tonight.
MC Craft stuff always seems a good idea. If only children listen and do it the way you want it. I find children spoil the fun Have you seen the stekch with Dawn French I see if I can find it.
Well Mum and DH have done their Tasks.
DH change bed linen, take Little bear swimming, get LB's hair cut, feed child.
Lovely Mum Looked after LB while DH napped and she cooked Roast Dinner & left kitchen
clean. I have loaded D/W & booted. W/M on (left in there for 2 days!) & now about to dry. Ironed clothes put away. Next Fold clothes that are dry and empty D/W.
That me done and I'm going off to watch Madmen now

Makingchanges · 18/02/2010 23:01

Updated list

Jobs for me

Wash bedding - Not done
Sort out notes from yesterdays sign language pub session (definately the best way to work) - Not done
Sort out kitchen (I left DH to clear up whilst I went out but football was on so nothing got done) Done
print off photos for GP of cooking session earlier in week as they want pictures of chef - Not done - Can't find the lead to connect my phone to the printer
Sort out ironing pile - why is this never off the list of jobs - not done
whats for tea - I have a fridge full of food so need to stay away from the frozen fast food in the freezer. - left over chilli from yesterday yummy. DD apparently ate at the Tedy Bears Picnic but I wasn't told when I picked her up so she didn't eat what i'd made. Never mind just annoying

Guess I have alot of jobs to do tomorrow. Today can definately be called an unproductive day although lots of time spent with DD and banking done and some stuff ordered that needed so not a complete waste.

Off to bed now to catch up on soaps - There are good things to DH being away. Full TV control

Simply · 18/02/2010 23:17

Hello to all. It is pretty late to be still on the pc. < tuts at self >

EVye Sorry, I don't know who you are as I didn't keep up with the thread as much some months ago and I think you name changed. Anyway ..... I hope your dd is feeling better and that the appointment goes well tomorrow. Please try not to worry whilst also keeping a close eye on your dd. It's hard, I know.

Right. Off to bed. I've done a big pile of ironing this evening. Yay!

Starbear · 18/02/2010 23:32
