storing baby clothes in plastic bags?

is it ok to store baby / kids clothes in bin liners? - just wondering if the plastic may be harmful?

I shouldn't think it'll be harmful. Bin liners have a strong plastic-y smell which might rub off on the clothes and not be too pleasant though. Could you use a jute/canvas bag for life sort of thing instead? Or ikea do lots of cheap fabric clothes bags/boxes.
