Morning all

I realised last night just how bad my surfing mumsnet whilst watching telly addiction is when I couldn't get online

DD still not right although seems right in herself just not good from the other end so we are going to hang around the house today, may do some crafty stuff and if shes better this afternoon may take her bike for a ride up and down the street as she hasn't rode it yet due to rubbish weather. Shes at GP's tomorrow so will get a day out then. I've also got a ballet dancing DVD that she got for her birthday that she never watched so she may watch that this afternoon. She wants to make buns, we'll see.

I ordered a last minute Tesco order last night when I couldn't get on here in case DD was no better so we are currently waiting for that to come.

Other jobs that need doing today
-Contact ballet class in response to e-mail yesterday to clarify questions
-Contact company who I have ordered two books from to complain as they have sent two copies of one book and none of the other - I've been waiting over a month for any of them to come so not happy
-online banking
-washing - I've done some everyday and I still have a mountain
-make some meals for rest of week as DH is away from tomorrow until Saturday so just warming something up will be easier
-wait in for a parcel

Dyls - Your adventure yesterday sounds fantastic. I'm looking forward to DD being a bit older and being able to do these things. She still gets tired and bored easily.

Dyls thats brilliant. Now you can choose which one fits in best with you. You are really lucky, well done.

DD is 4 but she doesn't have any other close friends that she plays with out of nursery and she gets fed up of mummy and daddy playing.

Simply · 16/02/2010 11:08

Just a quickie. Hello all.

Thanks for the thread dylsmum and well done on the interview success!

Back later!

afternoon all

dyls yay, well done. GTP sounds a great idea I always thought too.

makingchanges hope dd perks up soon

simply ruby Hi!

Been for a little wander this morning. Went to a few charity shops, actuaaly in search of some pretty plates (got some lovely ones from charity shops in past!)Alas no plates, but DC got some bargain books, and got 10 videos for £1.00 LOL glad we still have working video player! And the advantage of videos is that they dont get scratched whenthekids leave them lying around! So now all snuggled on sofa watching DD4s all time favourite film The Little Mermaid, which we did have on dvd till...yes...it got scratched and stopped playing!

Going for walk round dykewith doggy anddcin a bit....

Roast Pork for dinner, pancakes and ice cream for pudding!(already also done pancakes for Brekkie! )

Contemplating doing some digging in the garden too...but can I muster the energy and motivation....

Well DD seems to be find this afternoon except it taking her 2 hours in eat her sandwich for lunch (cos she was messing) so have agreed to making Dora buns. She requested when I bought the mixture (not making from scratch ) a chef's hat like Dora has on the packet so I bought her one from Wilkinsons on Saturday with a matching apron on. She looks so cute.

So List updated

Contact ballet class in response to e-mail yesterday to clarify questions - Done waiting for a reply
-Contact company who I have ordered two books from to complain as they have sent two copies of one book and none of the other - I've been waiting over a month for any of them to come so not happy Done Agreed a refund on the other book and a freepost address to send duplicate back to
-online banking - Done - Need a cash injection I think
-washing - I've done some everyday and I still have a mountain - Need to get a move on with this, only done one load
-make some meals for rest of week as DH is away from tomorrow until Saturday so just warming something up will be easier
-wait in for a parcel - Delivered

Managed to clear out fridge and freezer for Tesco shopping as well as read loads of books to DD and play dressing up as Snow White and the Prince.

I'm really jealous of all you who have managed to get out of the house. DD seems find today but I want to make sure she is clear before going anywhere accidents may occur. She's also under instructions not to touch the cakes with her hands (although she has been fine today)

Right better decorate the buns and make the meals for the rest of the week.

evening all

done some digging!
DD3 been EXTREMELY challenging all day. DH in V grumpy mood.
Feeling fed up ....off to bed with book and box of choccies any minute now

Starbear · 16/02/2010 21:09

Evening all Well done dyls Enjoy the moment of success. It a great feeling.
MC Don't be jealous. It has rained ALL day. We are all tired and soaking wet. We did go on the Thames Clipper which is a big catamran that stops on at various points like a bus. No tourist blugh going on in the back ground. Will go from Waterloo to Greenwich again using that route. Spent a very short time at Greenwich as DH need to return to go to football and we were going to church Pancake evening. Pancake evening okay Ds enjoyed it then cried coming home when I said no to Telly. God child we've been swimming, on a boat, a museum, where you made a flag and Pancakes, where you ran around with mates. Now it bedtime. They can be so ungrateful! Well I need to do some house work before bed.
Pack ds bag for a sleep over
Swimming stuff
& figure out what has died in this room. I suspect it has something to do with DH's kit !!!!!

Hello to all. I tried to post earlier but something went wrong when I previewed and then used the back button before posting in order to check something out on the thread. My post then vamooshed! It's time for bed now but before I go, I'll just say that today I did the accounts and a little report for a voluntary job I do almost all by myself (just a wee bit of help from dh to check it over once I'd done it) and I'm chuffed with myself! Nos da. Good night.

P.S. Starbear I have a peg you can borrow for your nose if you like! One of these should do the trick.
