Has anyone got one of these - are they any good?

I got mine on the QVC Channel, it is brilliant, really cleans my floor and no dirty mop heads to wring out, you just throw the towelling head in the washing machine afterwards. Also more enviromnentally friendly as I used to replace my mop heads every few weeks and now with this you just keep reusing and washing the towelling bit.

I've had this www.amazon.co.uk/Karcher-SC1402-Steam-Cleaner-1800W/dp/B0036QT4G6/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=electronics& qid=1266350746&sr=8-11 for a couple of years, it was a lot cheaper £125 ish through amazon but other shops are available etc.

It's great, the hardest bit is tidying up to get to everything, once you get going it's very quick. We have big floor open plan space so it means we don't have wait ages to walk around dries instantly.

Don't buy spare towel mop things I just cut up old towels and bung them in wash after each clean.

Was wondering about these steam mop things. I have a pain of a kitchen floor to clean, ceramic tiles that are pretend tumbled marble, so they have depressions and cracks in them which are only fab at gathering dirt, and I'm sick to the teeth of using industrial strength cleaners to clean it.

I've seen a JML steam mop and H2O mop, thought the H2O mop looked a bit flimsy with only a small steam vent. But has anyne got one, which one and do they really work?

Looked up amazon, bobdog, it's £275, would like smthng a bit cheaper.

I have this one

It's really good, gets up dirt you didnt even see.

However beware if you have laminate - mine has started lifting, so I only use it for deep cleans now.

bounty007 · 22/02/2010 14:02

Agree with satc. My cleaners love it!! worth every enny to keep them happy!

shedragon · 24/02/2010 08:51

Thanx for that. I think I'll get that one! The JML one is a fair bit more expensive and the same wattage so seems sensible to get the Hometek one.
Here's hoping my pretend-posh-floor will look a liitle posher.
