Does anybody have one? I've seen a Swan one for sale in Robert Dyas but haven't found any reviews on any comparison sites....

Anyone able to help?

Thanks!

I haven't used this brand before, have you got a link to it?

As a general rule the cheaper steam gen irons usually take a long time to heat up and that can be a drag as a pile of ironing usually requires at least one refill.

Thanks! I don't think I'll bother with it then.

Looking at the Swan iron, it's steam output is not great - 90g/min, and the more steam and higher pressure the better. Also I don't think it has a detachable water tank so a hassle to refil. No mention of how long it takes to heat up which i'd want to know too.

Ive had a Bosch steam iron previously which was v effective, something like this or this one might be a good place to start.

You are talking another £100 but I think it's worth it in the long run. I've now got a laurastar steam gen which was stupidly expensive but should last for ever but I'd go with a Bosch to start with to see if you like steam gen irons. Hope that helps.
