Posh-ish laminate (okay Quickstep oak), And please don't say a 'smear free' hah hah wood and laminate floor cleaner. Oh and - why didn't any one tell me about the 'crumb' thing? I could sweep/vacuum it all day.

(except I'm far too slatternly.)

See I would have said Cif Wood or something but you say that's not working for you. Maybe if you tried diluting it a bit more? Also we always hoover the dirt off first, some of the smearing might be wet dust?

Thanks! Yes maybe I'm not diluting it enough. Tend to just slug some into the bucketty thing. I do always hoover first (those flaming crumbs).

I have seen suggestions of adding vinegar to the cleaning liquid but i tried that with the shower screen and, whilst it did look better, the bathroom smelled like a chip shop...

Drying it after mopping can stop smearing too.A big old towel or something?

I have one of these... www.lakeland.co.uk/smart-string-mop/F/keyword/mop/product/21224 is fab.

I use the same mop as Orangesarenottheonlyfruit and it works a treat

We use this cleaner on our quickstep laminate: www.pergo.com/en-gb/Consumer/Products/Accessories/ the one called spray cleaner.

We also use a 'cleaning kit' similar to the one that's third down on that page. Ours was from homebase though.

We don't really 'mop' as such, it's more of a polishing job after hoovering.
