We have inherited a disgusting oven with about 4 years of cooking plastered to the inside. What is the best way to clean it apart from blowing it up ?

www.ovenu.co.uk

I second the ovenu rec. My oven gets cleaned once a year by them and it's the best £50 I ever spend.

Pay for someone to do it professionally. Costs about £50 to get it done.

Urgh poor you.

If it was my own baked on grime I would just say industrial strength quantities of Mr Muscle oven cleaner, but don't leave it on for 30 mins as it says on the bottle, go to bed and leave it for 24 hours. That is what I did (by mistake I add) and it came up beautifully.

Someone else's muck though - urgh no. I would get the professionals in.

Thank you. Ovenu aren't in our area but will have a look to see if there are any similar firms on the go. £50 is much cheaper than getting a new oven
