Iron broken. Need a good (reasonable) replacement... Please help.

what would you recommend?

Phillips GC2652 (might be called Rapide) - I got one about 6 months ago, from Argos, about £40 and it's one of best I've ever had. Very quick thru a large pile, excellent on jeans and tough creases. Reasonably easy to descale and I love it! I chose it cos all reviews on Argos website said the same - basically quick and efficient (which is what is says on the box!)

I bought one from Tesco for a fiver as a quickie replacement. It's lasted about three years and does a great job (even though I don't iron that much!)
