House smells like a greasy spoon! Help!

My lovely DH kindly cooked us steak & home-made chips last night.
Yummy yes, but despite having the kitchen door closed, the window open and the (rubbish) extractor on, the house stinks of vegetable oil!

What can I do besides leaving all the windows open wide?

(Some are open but it's snowing out there!)

TIA!

Shall I cook a curry to mask the smell or will my house then smell like a chip-shop and an Indian restaurant?

Agree with the candles, but a 'good' way to remove any really vile smell is to purposley burn a piece of toast. Granted, your house smells of burnt toast but it does absorb all other grim scents.

Second the Price's chef candle.

Brilliant.

Charcoal is a natural adsorbant which is why burning toast works. An easier way is to just leave a small dish of charcoal out!

On a side note vinegar does the same for cigarette smoke
