Life is crap here at the moment

wendyhappysmile · 04/02/2010 11:01

Oh dear tea, keep on, mum on hols on Monday!
ruby well done on yesterday, that was amazing to keep calm and improvise like that!
8swan* hiya LOL at DD and fancy dress. I look like that all the time, you know, esp the headscarf!
OFM LOVE your stuff to buy on your website! Must get going and learn to sew myself.

I haven't done much this morning. Have made best friend a present - a framed slogan picture, very sentimental!
haven't done very well timetabling my time. Next week I am planning on fab organised week
Lunch out with friends, just to soft play, myfriend's DD is 1 today.
DS at golf tonight - it is starting to take over his life like it does my Dad's (Dad is paying for lessons for DS and now taking him to practise, too!)
BBL perhaps. Pampered Chef party tonight. Mantra for me is must not spend too much money!

swanriver · 04/02/2010 12:37

sittng here eating lunch (pre-portioned on plate in fridge for reheating

today is meant to be errand afternoon according to spreadsheet - was going to go to public library, return wheelchair, possibly buy printer...BUT our bedroom en-suite cistern is broken so waiting for plumber (luckily we have more than one loo)
anyway all to good, as can now tidy bedroom which at moment I only go into at 11pm, and emerge from 7.30 - so can't even remember what it looks like in daylight

OFM will look forward to your site as a treat later, Wendy - she was a mum telling her naughty children off who were quarrelling at mealtimes. Wooden spoon was a bit alarming.

Tea sometimes one just wants to hide in a dark dark corner or climb to top of highest moutain and just get away from them all.

Simply we MISS YOU come back please
Ruby it feels like slow motion when it's happening doesn't it?, just waves of relief when professionals (sorry I am sure you are one too)show up. Hope you weren't in crash too.

afternoon all

TM sorry things are so tough for you right now. You are coping with a lot,try tocut yourself some slack- easy meals, bit less cleaning,etc...MAKE time to do something just for you - long bath, book, sew something pretty for yourself etc....You are so busy looking after everyone else, don't forget to look after yourself too!
Hang in there - you will get through it...

swan DD in pinny made me

wendy picture for friend sounds nice!

scatty very concise and to the point today LOL

well I have been really busy this morning...
awake since 5.00 as ds2 woke up with bad cough, hedid come and snuggle in our bed for a bit, which was nice cause he hasnt done that in ages!
Sadly shouted at girls again this morning though about the state of their room....how can I EVER pursuade them to keep it tidy????
Anyway, came back from school run and gutted it!!
3 black bags filled - 1 rubbish, 2 for charity.
Large pile of random underwear to sort
Pulled all toy boxes from under bunk and cabin beds-sorted out
hoovered underbeds
stripped bedding-now in wash

Then:
Hoovered landing
hoovered dd4 room
hoovered ds1 room
tidied lounge and hoovered
tidied kitchen
made a bag! (Just had to fit in some sewing LOL)
DD4 to nursery
Home
Lunch for me
emailed Consultant to explain re change of heart about job
ordered some interfacing for next sewing project
now having cuppa
need to sort dinner next.....

hopefully BBL

first wash of about 20 piles

now need to remake bed and hoover extremely dusty room

also [sigh]think about supper which was meant to be fishcakes, boil pots etc, maydo when kids at home.

OFM Wow - If I could manage half of what you have done I would be impressed - Well Done

Swan - That is just like our bedroom. Problem is when you go to bed, things end up slung on the floor so is quite a state (ours not yours)

tea - Sorry things are bad - hang in there. Look after yourself.

Well I have

Completed and taken to school CRB check for reading volunteer
Been and had another key cut as last one didn't work
Tidied paperwork pile in kitchen
DD to nursery and me to school (doing victorians and had to be called M'am - Didn't like that)
Hooved up in lounge
just making chilli for tea
Washing on second load
Ham joint in slow cooker for sandwiches for tomorrow and weekend

So much to do tonight though so must get on

Catch up later

wendyhappysmile · 04/02/2010 18:26

grouchyoscar · 04/02/2010 19:13

Lets Go, heh heh heh

Thanks for the welcomes back

A middle aged lady helped me home this morning as my legs had run up a white flag Confined to bed with laptop and then I do something very very silly/made an executive decision.

I've booked 3 tickets to see a band in Glasgow in June. And DH doesn't know yet Thought i they were bought it would be difficult to let someone miturate on my bonfire again. Booked a hotel too I'll blame it on the new meds

I'm going to get killed so, it's been a pleasure knowing you all

Wolfcub · 04/02/2010 20:45

evening all

moderately less shite day than I've had for a while. tea hang in there. 3 more days and she'll be in a different country. Leave the kids with DP and come and stay with me for a couple of days to recuperate. I'm sure grouchy, Wendy, OHM and the other local flyers would love to feed you tea, cake and gin! Failing that, book yourself something nice like a pedicure to get away and have an hour or two of you time.

grouchy take it easy woman. I think the concert is a great idea, hope you survive the spanish inquisition.

wendy enjoy pampered chef party

ohm I do not know how you do it, you put me to shame

ruby I hope you've recovered from yesterday

waves at mc swan scatty and everyone else. I nipped in at lunch to say hi but got interrupted before I could post

We have picked our reception venue. I am hoping it is as nice as it looks. linky

Simply · 04/02/2010 21:24

Hello to all. Just a quickie. Thanks to all for remembering me and I've seen your posts OFM and swan asking after me. Most of the time I think I'm pretty much better after having ME but then sometimes I'm quite tired and having to have naps in the day and I have to accept that I'm about 80 something % better which is annoying when I want to be 100%. Still...onwards and upwards!

Recent good things:-
~ got shot of 2 oldish tvs, one next door and one to the local recycling for resale place
~ two new sets of curtains up and they look really nice. I now need to tidy up my bedroom big time to do them justice
~ Dh and I went away for a night last week to celebrate 20 years together. The food was really delicious and we had a lovely time though I did consider staging a sit in (in the bar area next to a real fire) after breakfast when dh suggested going for a walk around the grounds! We went here. A week ago right now I was probably sat in the bar area totally relaxed after an excellent evening meal. I hope we'll have another night away like that without having to wait another 20 yrs!

Today I managed to walk the dog twice, wash the car and dig up a poor ornamental something or other which had blown over. We now have a rather gaping hole in the shrubbery but it had to be done, unfortunately. In addition, I managed to hoover a bit, fold some washing and wash and dry 2 loads. Oh, and tidy the kitchen up. And take dd out for her after school activity and fetch ds from his. Not too bad, I guess!

Dh has been working long hours and away overnight quite often, too. I think we need a lifesize card board cut out to remember who he is!

Sorry I've not been keeping up with the thread much lately. I hope to be able to do so more regularly from now on. Thanks again for the welcome back all.

TM I hope today has been a better day since your post this morning.

Sorry this is disjointed and rather long. I didn't sleep well last night and none of you appeared to be around on active convos between 2.30am and 4.30am!

Wolfcub · 04/02/2010 21:33

simply it is simply(!) lovely to see you. The hotel looks fantastic.

swanriver · 04/02/2010 22:17

Simply LOL at cutout husband - I'm glad you had such a nice time away to make up for it; you also sound like someone doing 120% not 80%
Wolf it seems like a different world - possibly inhabited by celestial beings
Grouchy June is a long way away, you can win him over by then surely?

Slightly tetchy evening here, but fishcakes v. nice, and kitchen thoroughly cleansed.

Evening all bends knees.
TM start the count down.
OFM What website?
Ruby What did he look like? Do I know him
wolf In the same boat at the mo with no sleep. Haven't got a clue why! Hate waking up at 5am knowing I've only got another 1 and a bit hours. Never do anything useful with the time! I think my middle is hot but, my feet are cold. Must exercise maybe it will improve!
tortise & Simply Long time no see hope you've had a fab time.
have had a lot of wine tonight so best go to bed

Starbear · 04/02/2010 22:26
