Oh no wolf what a start to the day! Hope it improves.

mad Your poor mum. She must be finding it difficult with 1 arm in plaster .

Today:
Gymnastics
buy bread and milk
dust
laundry

All our snow has gone. I think Scotland have it now.

swanriver · 02/02/2010 09:53

Tea very painful - my (then 73yr) dad once poured boiling water on his feet when draining pasta and his glasses steamed up - he was by himself and had to call an ambulance
can she still go to Florida?
poor lady, she must be feelng pretty low and useless
and you must just be feeling FED UP
Wolf you must be feeling beyond fed up

Continuing bad hair day - Ds TRIPPED up on way to school this morning, and was lying on pavement crying "my leg my leg" and my heart stopped and I just thought he's broken it again AArghh
he's lying on sofa trying to get his nerve back to walk again - and he went to Cubs last night and everything - still think it's just shock more than anything and nothng's amiss.

Otherwise everything is fine here, we all went to bed early and got up in good time - but I think I need a large piece of cake now to calm my nerves.

Scatty I hope your dh did not go mountaineering in the snow Did he have a good time?

Wolfcub · 02/02/2010 10:11

I have made a docs appt. I am very concerned that the last few months mark a serious downturn in my mental health which given my history is worrying the hell out of me. The good thing is that I know I'm not depressed, the bad thing is that if the stress and sleeplessness carry on much longer I could very well get there.

done
ds taken to granny's - she's going to have him for a couple of hours so I can try to sleep
wm unloaded reloaded and on

the house is a complete tip

swan I hope ds gets his nerve back and hasn't hurt himself too badly

scatty have a good day

I've hit rock bottom with housework - not because house is v bad but because I still don't seem to have any routine for the week, although have routine for the day. It all seems to get done but in haphazard fashion andhouse bleugh is taking way too long.

Think I need to do this in conjunction with basic daily routines in order to have a life outside housework between 9 & 3

Monday - quick tidy everywhere - food shop and meal plan, living areas should be guest friendly but no real cleaning done - free afternoon to garden/bake/cook in rotation over three weeks,
Tuesday - library work & hoovering, wash kids sheets, remake beds, deep clean some small part of house - [paperwork in eve]
Wednesday - swimming in morning, rest of day piano practise or reading
Thursday - library work and change our sheets
non- food errands in afternoon
Friday - day to go out and visit people swim eetc, finish any long term projects, cook something in advance for weekend, [deep clean bathrooms in afternoon when dcs back home watching telly]

will try this and see if it works over next two weeks. Sorry if this all seems obvious to you experienced spreadsheeters.

Starbear · 02/02/2010 10:14

Morning all Wolf What is going on? You must be exhausted. Can anyone take Ds out today?
dyls I'm sure you did well on your interview. re the person who would not shut-up. During my application process I had to look at various Competency Frameworks under Communcation they had a list of positives and negatives. ONE of the negatives was 'not allowing other to speak.' SO that person has a red mark on their name for that one.
Tea You'll have to call for back-up re your Mum. It sound like it getting tougher and tougher. If you want to be kidnapped I know a few people that owe me a favour
swan Is DS swinging the lead a little?
OFM Glad you came to a decision. Lovely flattery to be head hunted and respected. You can throw that back in the face of the kids when they upset you in your old age. 'I could have been........ if I didn't have clean your bum & puke etc.... Te!he!
Right enough of this chit-chat lists in a mo.

swanriver · 02/02/2010 10:15

x-post Wolf - don't underestimate the effects of no sleep, it isn't you, it is the lack of sleep, and having to deal with ds when he is not sleeping.

Starbear · 02/02/2010 10:19

Swan I'm with you on your last post. Spend far too much time cleaning, cooking and sorting DH & DS's life. Going swimming this afternoon come hell or high water!!!!
Right Done so far
A little MNing
Beds made
Recycling done
IS THAT ALL !!!
Right 'to do'
W/M load
shopping for Ds clothes (take swimming stuff with me)
Boots in menders
Okay that is it!!!!

swanriver · 02/02/2010 10:42

You're right Star I'm watching him for signs of chirpiness - but he is quite keen on school at moment, so I don't think he's trying to bunk off
we need you to be our advisor on delinquent teenagers - it will be v. useful

Starbear · 02/02/2010 11:21

Oh! No. Swan I was that delinquent teenager. I used to have fake tummy ache when there was a maths lesson in the timetable That is why I'm not a commander!
But I do know if children get out of the habit of going to school they build it up to be a big deal and don't want to return. Cold & grey skies don't help. That includes me off I go!!!!!

TeaMonster · 02/02/2010 13:51

I am here, just far too busy with what feels like 3 children!!!

swanriver · 02/02/2010 14:36

Tea - good luck with them all, I'm sure little ones bring out the best in your mum

Done
managed to get ds back to school after his fall by lunchtime
help in library for a bit
mop floors
hoover
a few washes
avoid cake
brisk walking
put out recycling for tomorrow (though not yet sorted sigh]
make chilli for tonight
put away veg box almost

tomorrow's going to be awful again, I just know it, so doing some p. practice now.

Starbear · 02/02/2010 17:16

Afternoon all wolf Didn't read the post well. Did Granny allow you to get some sleep?
TM [hugs]
Have not done anything really constructive today. Lost the day some where by not been very organised. I think I'm avoiding exercise and didn't really timetable very well. Should have gone first thing!!!! But that would leave the house in a yukky mess. Well! it's got to be and when I get home I might be faster at bleughing the house!!!
Right CRB form now before collecting Ds from a party. Not having a car at times in a nuisance as I could have zipped to the gym and back to collect Ds. Must ask for the car more often. Swan make sure you get that swim in.

Wolfcub · 02/02/2010 17:20

star yes granny had him from 10 until 3 which allowed me to get 2 hours sleep and 1 hour lying down in a darkened room with the duvet over my head!

tea how long before your mum goes on holiday - in other words when do you expect to see an end to this? hugs

I have borrowed an energy meter from the local library I am currently at how much my washing machine uses on it's energy saving setting. Good job we can't afford to replace the tumble drier really, I'm sure that would give me palpitations

OP posts:
Starbear · 02/02/2010 17:25

Where is my bloody Birth cert!!!!

Wolfcub · 02/02/2010 17:55

star try - underused kitchen cupboard, wherever your passport is, pile of months of unread post, filing cabinet, knicker drawer ermmmm bookshelves.

OP posts:
scattyspice · 02/02/2010 19:24

LOL star no idea where mine is.

wolf I have a terrible TD habit .

Today:
Gymnastics - done
buy bread and milk - done
dust - C/O
laundry - done

Wolfcub · 02/02/2010 19:38

scatty at the moment I wish I had a T/D as my house is covered in laundry and I cannot get my sheets dry (don't have enough sheets to remake bed). They just cost too much money. I am thinking of getting a heated airer - 3 pence per hour to run apparently. It'd just be a matter of finding the £80 to buy one!

OP posts:
dylsmum1998 · 02/02/2010 20:31

evening all
tm hope you gret some peace poor you. i could NOT have my mother stay with me I would end up behind bars!

wolf lack of sleep is a killer

star I'm feeling more positive today (am sure the wine is helping a bit ) although i still don't feel i came across well yesterday, a friend was interviewed today and phoned me in a similar state to i phoned her in yesterday . so i know it wasnt just me the interview was hard. and i applied for both courses as i couldn't decide which to take SO if i don't get offered a place on gtp it doesn't matter because i am on the pgce so i can still become a teacher

have been in uni all day, then collected ds from school spending too much in the book fair before we left.
then took both dc to toys r us to buy a present for dd's friends birthday tomorrow.

housework done;

sort dry washing
wash rug in living room
wash floors

i also booked and paid for our summer hols today. very excited

wolf sheets are a pain to dry with no dryer, mine hang over doors. luckily i do have a couple of sets each, although they are all wearing thin now and need replacing really

TeaMonster · 02/02/2010 20:35

I am shattered, swimming lesson done, children in bed, been to supermarket for mother.

Redressed her hand

I have not have anytime to myself and am feeling ratty as!!
