You could try white vinegar.
Not tried myself though cleans everything else!
A friend recommended it - put some on area affected and give bit of a scrub, then try washing it again?
Let me know how you get on.
Fabulous for using as alternative to chemical household cleaning products; my windows and stainless steel comes up a treat plus it's not hard work.
Put 50% water 50% white vinegar in spray bottle - spray on hob (for instance) leave for 10 mins if dried food present then just wipe off.
Smell evaporates after few minutes so don't worry about the chip shop aura!

There is something called stickystuff remover, from lakeland which is brilliant for this sort of thing. I'm told hot vinegar is good too(I haven't tried it)
Good luck.

Hmm..vinegar got the worst of it off, but not brilliantly - must have been and extra sticky sticker
