what time of day do you get your energy boost?

i try quite hard to get all my housework done in the mornings and in my ideal routine it would all be done before we leave for the school run at 8.50. the only problem is, i never seem to find the energy until after the boys have gone to bed at 7pm. this means that quite often my washing is in the machine all day and the house looks a bit manky all day.

am i just made like this or do you think i can change it. ive tried going to bed earlier and getting more sleep but i still never have the inclination to do anything before 7 pm. what can i do?

Energy boost? What's that then

Think I had my last energy boost about 3.5years ago!

orangina · 28/01/2010 15:56

Energy boost? I'm supposed to have an energy boost?

(slumps back into chair)

ok, i'll rephrase it.

at what point in the day does the filth become unbearable, forcing you to move it?

About 7:10, i.e just when I'm supposed to be going out the door to work (which might explain why I keep arriving late... "I just needed to sort the laundry/make the bed/clean the loo...")

Can't be arsed in the evening. I think I see housework as an extension of having a shower & getting dressed. Like doing the same for the house so it looks nice for the day.

Booyhoo · 28/01/2010 19:53

thats a good way to look at it spiltthteaagain.

i consider the dishes and washing hung to be absolute necessities. i get annoyed if i dont have time to do those in the morning. but i would still like to be able to fit in other chores so i'm not doing it during chill time.

energy boost?

clam · 28/01/2010 20:04

It's no good. I'm going to have to get a cleaner.

SparkyToo · 30/01/2010 18:59

Yes we eat really late at night and I always get an energy boost at about 10pm - which is really annoying as I am literally ready to go to bed as I put the boys to bed!!

ronx · 30/01/2010 19:01

Right now? Never, but I'm 10 weeks pregnant and feel as if I've been drugged.

Meglet · 30/01/2010 19:15

Whenever the children are out of the house .

Failing that, about 7am if I've already had breakfast and there's no sign of them waking then I blitz a few things before the noise starts. Much easier to focus when I'm not ratty and they are contained in their bedrooms / cots.

sazzerbear · 30/01/2010 19:20

When it's wine time!

orienteerer · 30/01/2010 19:22

What energy boost?

Booyhoo · 30/01/2010 22:11

When I sit down to do some study. at that point i could scrub the whole house rather than try to understand linguistics.

I know I prefer sex at 11am to any other time. No wonder I've not worked full-time for years
