single fitted sheets

DS just recently moved into a bed. I have 2 fitted sheets but I'd like some more. Ideally 100% cotton (the ones I have are polycotton-all I could find at the time). Any ideas where is best. I don't want to spend a fortune but at the same time I want some sort of quality. Thanksx

Unless your ds is angelic I would actually suggest buying fairly cheap ones until he is older. After you have gone through bed-wetting, the odd sickness bug and embellishing them with felt-tips you will be glad you didn't waste your money on good ones!

I had a look at the White Company, £17 for a single fitted sheet.Maybe I am just not with it. The John Lewis one on sale at £14.50 might be an option.

Decor- very angelic to look at but can make a hell of a mess. I know that 2 sheets won't be enough and inevitably there will be a time when they are both in the wash at the same time. Happy days!

Yes, we use their linen (200 thread count) in our spare room and everyone always comments on how comfortable it is. (As we don't use it nightly I can't comment on durability but it seems good quality). I also know someone who used to work as a buyer in the linen department of a big department store who said they regarded this company as a competitor.

Don't know whether it is the same in the UK, but my Aldi regularly has lovely coloured and medium quality single sheet sets for the equivalent of around 7 quid

We went for a blue and white gingham fitted sheet to go with the set (the navy blue colour option) and it is really nice, just a bit different, but a bit more expensive than the white ones mentioned above. But then I'd expect a woven gingham to be dearer than a plain white fitted sheet.

Primark are now doing 100% cotton sheets. They were putting the white ones out the other day. Looked good quality and a bargain at £6.00.

Thanks for all the suggestions, can always rely on MN.... My mum called round yesterday she spotted some in Harry Corry and bought them. They are 100% cotton, only problem is they only had a dark brown colour left. They were in the sale though, £1.99 she bought me 3 of them plus a single duvet cover in same colour. Will do fine as I'm sure once DS out of nappies at bed time there will be lots of accidents. Actually goes nice in room which is neutral decor with red bed (pillar box red color), curtain and accessories.
