Brain Dump for Ruby

Emergency telephone numbers for all suppliers, contacts
Out of hours deatils of key holders
We operated a system where we could contact a small number of people who had set responsibilities for conacting others and on and on, so that everyone got the call.
Back up of everything off site
We sourced alternative premices
Numbers of portacabin company's so if the worst happened a site office could be set up, with phones and internet (again you need their numbers and contact details)
Fire action plan
We kept a small backpack in set places with tourches, water first aid kit etc in each car park.
Numbers for utility conpanys
Also have an emergency team set up with responsibilies for each member for different things - no point in duplication - IT to seal with networks, laptops and phones
Security to deal with looking after old premices and secuying if an issue or liasing with the police and Home office regarding incidents ie bomb threats
HR to liase with staff, hospitals and the like
PR to deal with press

We had a comand structure in place and examples of who to escalate to
Examples of what actions would need to be taken in speicific circumstances.

I would contact other local schools or the LEA adn ask to see copies of theirs, as that would make life much easier for you.

Our documents were massive, lots of informtion on paper as well as in laptop format!!

I think we all need one of those
it would make one feel v. calm.

Dad has dropped off chairs, a trifle uncomfortable but look good - possibly why theyhave survived, not many people sat on them for long

afternoon all

Dyls thinking of you...hope interviewis going well

tm hope you're surviving your Mum

swan you sound busy*wolf Hi!

Well I have a horrible bug. Feel rubbish. Up since 5 with awful stomach cramps and on the verge of throwing up(TMI...sorry!)
DH has OFSTED inspectors in today too, so left early for work....
So I lay pathetically on the sofa and shouted instructions to wonderful DD1 to get little ones cereal etc...
Managed school drop off....then more sofa lying with overdose of cbeebies for dd4 and ds2

House a total tip....no idea whats for dinner...will struggle through school pick up then consider...may be scrambled eggs on toast I fear!

hopefully bb tomorrow fully recovered.

wendyhappysmile · 27/01/2010 13:36

Hey all Dyls hoping it is going well, sending good vibes
Tea hope your mum's stay is ok and she is feeling ok too.
OFM poor you, that's what I had last week, it lasted 3 - 4 days I think sorry! Just do nothing and no guilt
swan hi
wolf hope work better today

I am in a bad mood today, shouted at DS and DD this morning, got grumpy with DS for getting whiteboard pen on his school jumper and also for not being able to think of any words with the sound 'igh' in them (FGS he is 5!) and generally just miserable. Can't work out why.

Meant to be at Mini Movers but DD has decided we're not going. I have stomach ache again as well so I'm glad. Think we'll be watching cbeebies too!

house seems user-friendly if not particularily tidy

Wendy hope afternoon is better - the beginnng of the day is like going through a mangle sometimes

next - I am imagining not mangles but space and air - thanks for tip wolf

then pickup
then walk to another p lesson with boys and back
then pick up dd from athletics

swan you have been very busy

OFM hope you feel btter quickly

Wendy hope you feel brighter now

TM what was that long list used for? sounds very efficient.

i survived the interview . not sure how it went was very difficult as it was all done as a group so hard to gage. I think i did ok. maths test wasnt as bad as i thought. anyone know what the degrees an angle is in equilateral triangle? i know they all the same (hence the name lol) but dont know what they are. that the only question i am sure i did wrong, could be others wrong but felt ok doing those ones.
oh well will find out in around 2 weeks how i did. i feel better about it now i have done it
