swanriver · 26/01/2010 12:12

Disorganised/managed to do everything in 10 minutes supermum morning [select as applicable]

went to work - Rumpelstiltskin and explained about straw and spinning wheels

back for lunch now, then take ds1 out of school for exercise/swim at 1.00 for an hour

need to quickly tidy kitchen and put away washing first and get some piano in somewhere...

thanks for thread OFM - your morning sounds brilliant- hope you get some time for planting plan too.

what's for dinner - gammon, baked potatoes, beetroot, salad, pears

TeaMonster · 26/01/2010 12:54

I am here in body although less so on mind.

Mum is very sore and has taken over the conservatory!!

Took mini mad to toddlers and opticians for spec fix again!!

Now to do some ironing etc

swanriver · 26/01/2010 14:24

Back from ds1 swim (not me I was toolazy to get in]

Now need to do
rest of kitchen namely:
washing up
worktops
lunch/supper saucepans
scrub potatoes for supper
fold up dry clothes and put away

Tea - sending soothing emotions to your poor mum - bet the little ones will think it's quite exciting having her there though
yes invalids take over enormous amounts of territory and energy

Been in to school this afternoon so not I'm moving around better continue.

Meeting tonight and sign language homework so have two hours in which to:-

Put in washing and dry what is washed
Tidy kitchen from last night I was in too much pain and DH just didn't help so not nice.
Whats for tea - Stirfry after weigh in for me and no idea for DD, maybe frozen pizza
Black bag rubbish in bedroom cos its getting to me now.
E-mail re reading volunteer at school
Get a rubbish bag and clear out back seat of my car which is currently full or rubbish, books and DD's paintings

Will try to be back later and catch up

Dyls - If i'm not back - Good luck for interview tomorrow (i hope it is tomorrow) you seem to have done loads of prep for it. If its for your PGCE (i think it is hope i'm not confused) don't worry. Everybody at mine was lovely and really eager to put you at ease and the tests weren't nearly as bad as I imagined.

Starbear · 26/01/2010 19:23

Evening All >
Well today has been a breeze in comparison to the last few weeks
Dyl Good luck for tomorrow. Smiling is good and shoulder back head up straight (anyway that's what I tell kids to do all the time)
MC It'so unfair when you get an injury, when your on the path to fitness. That's why I don't do it, too risky
I still have a 'to do list' before dinner.
CRB form (yes it is still on the list)
Take phone number to work re holidays
Book club before reading bedtime book
e-mail & chat to friends (v. important)
pop nextdoor & see if they want Sunday dinner with us.
There is a smell in here I think its DH's PE kit
take care

grouchy I hope you're taking it easy today despite your earlier post

scatty at tablets

ruby just to muscle in on your talk with tea I wrote business continuity plans for a number of our offices last year and am writing one for my current office now so I could possibly help if tea is tied up but broken mother although I doubt I am anything like the expert that tea is. tea I hope your mum isn't driving you too crazy.

ruby humberside local govt have an excellent website detailing the processes they went to to write their business continuity plan. It probably has more info than required but some of it is really quite interesting and they have good info on how to get different groups/business areas to contribute.

Wolfcub · 26/01/2010 19:30

dyls good luck. Imagine yourself a cloak of confidence. When you wear your cloak it should be something that makes you feel strong and confident and (imho) bloody gorgeous. Practice how you would stand and feel if wearing cloak at home. If you can fix that sort of image in your head and feel that confident feeling when you "put it on" before the interview then even if you are a bag of nerves tomorrow you can appear confident - sorry it's a bit cheesy but I got this from a 3 day self confidence workshop at work, sorry if I sound like a mad self help book.
