Hello Dylsmum and Starbear
sorry you had a bad night - hope you get a chance to just sit a bit and recharge today Dylsmum

spent the whole of yest eve just dithering about with housework, but as result, ktchen floor is washed, and meals planned (menus look rather strange in light of day though - beetroot and lentils with feta, what was I thinking?)
went to bed BEFORE dh - which is always good

we all slept till 8.00am again, but everything seemed to be a bit better organised so that was fine...apart from having to go back home again for dd's Show and Tell

TO DO
buy food as per meal planner
put away food
change sheets on two beds, wash and dry and remake
order ds1 new shirts and trousers
buy shoes for ds2
organise some swimming bags for each child
piano practise
book club book - get started
what's for dinner - Italian chicken with black olives - make it in advance
other cleaning and tidying but not going to think about that now [and get distracted]
declutter ONE large toy

food shopping first I think

threetimemummy · 25/01/2010 09:23

Hi All

Had a busy morning so far - had the MOT test at 750 and have just arrived back - was meant to be at the hospital or an appointment but car failed MOT

SO just getting into housework now really will BBL

TeaMonster · 25/01/2010 09:26

Morning all

Home blering day here in TheMadHouse.

I have loads to do, but will be back later with a list

Makingchanges · 25/01/2010 09:28

Morning all

A busy day today to follow a busy weekend. Managed to do three weeks worth of reading and an assignment since Friday so very pleased. Also managed to book a weeks holiday to add onto the Sun holiday that I booked last week so even though I have to come home early to do my PGCE induction I will get approx 1.5 weeks (and DH isn't so annoyed at cutting short the hol anymore)

I also managed to get to the gym on both Sat and Sunday and I'm off there again in a minute. I wish I could see the hard work pay off but unfortunately I had a night out for someones leaving on Friday and went out to celebrate getting on my PGCE on Saturday so I'm just trying to minimise the damage

To do today

Gym
Reply to governors meeting invitation
concentrate on tidying lounge which has been neglected somewhat recently
Whats for tea
Pop to shop for new belt
Another assignment to start

Starbear · 25/01/2010 09:38

grouchyoscar · 25/01/2010 11:14

cheer for the thread STAR

OK, I've done most of the home blessing and what I missed yesterday. The Grouchy hovel looks so much better for it.

Ed said 'sorry for sickening my bed yesterday' bless him. He can return to school tomorrow.

DF is slowly improving. His colour has returned and his quick witted sense of humour. All to the good TBH. DB is keeping me informed as his DP's family think it's 1910 and you go to hospital to die Tests today

ROME. Went 10 years ago and It is an amazing place. I'd love to go again and when I've taken my eternal student head off (the one that wants to go see bands) I will jump at the offer. Ed will adore it. Lots of walking but we can take it steady.

and that's all the Grouchy news that's fit to print. BBL

swanriver · 25/01/2010 11:59

Gah! You ladies are so good today!! Getting so much done!! unlike me..... Am knackered after our early morign outing and the baby is being particularly active today so I am feeling a bit blah - truth be told, I am so tired!! DS1 due to car having no MOT last week!!) is now on his second week home and I am having troube keeping up with the two of them!! at least when he is in school I can sometimes convince DS2 to have a nap...but no chance recently!!

What am I going to be like at 35 weeks?? I am only 25 weeks now!!

Having been reading along though and managed to get a few things done..nothing like my usual list tho!!

MOT repairs are going ot cost a bomb so no chance of getting them sorted anytime soon...have called the local LEA and they ar seeing what they can do to help DS1 get to preschool. Not holding out much hope though!

sorry for no personals..going to convince DS1 to play dominoes with me (mainly so I can have an excuse to lie on the floor!!)

threetimemummy · 25/01/2010 14:50

Just wanted to add... at least the LEA lady agreed that 10 miles walking a day is crazy for a pregnant lady!! (2.5 mile there and then again back times two - drop off and pick up) She might see if she can swing us a place at the preschool that is on my road that we have been trying to get into for the last year!! Silver lining and all that!!

Starbear · 25/01/2010 15:01

have managed to complete my mornings list- ven got the bits and bobs listed on ebay!
have also been to library, dd is now watching flower fairies dvd we hired. She is mad on dancing and has been asking for ballet lessons for months, so have also phoned a local dance school her dad will be able to get her to on the weekends when she is with him. Will be taking her on saturday for her first trial session.

now off to get started on dinner

scattyspice · 25/01/2010 16:09

Hi all. Just popping in (dd wants an orange and ds wants the comp). All looks very productive today.

Had a lovely time in Harrogate . Very nice place. Shopping, tea at Bettys and out for pizza later on Sat and a lovely walk through the park to a garden centre (I am 40)and back on Sun. Mum managed brilliantly with the kids and dd even slept through for her.

Today:
hoover and mop
laundry
banking
la redoute order.

TeaMonster · 25/01/2010 17:57

Bad day just getting worse by the min

Had to take mum to the bank, left her so she could do some shopping and make own way home
Held on for the insurance company for over an hour, but had to collect DS's from school
Get back from school to a phone call mum has had a fall (she wouldnt take her walking stick out)
Bro took her to minor casualty, who have said it is a mjor break, so she has gone home for dinner and then Bro taking her to major A&E
Where I have to collect her from and she will be staying here again!!

I only started speaking to her on Friday after the last outburst she had!!!

grouchyoscar · 25/01/2010 18:46

Awwh, bloody hell Tea that's the last thing you need. A Grouchy Hug for you

on top of everything today, except the washing from yesterday's barf frenzy. Bed time routines done too

Feeling a bit blergh now. A whole day squabbling with Ed has taken it out of me. And he was the one who was supposed to be ill

wendyhappysmile · 25/01/2010 19:48

Oh dear tea, don't feel guilty about it she can decide whether to take her stick! Hope it is ok with her staying with you.
Grouchy take it easy, you are fighting Boris too remember not just Ed.
scatty so glad you enjoyed your weekend away, Harrogate is very genteel and lovely, isn't it? Serene.
Hi to all else

I've had a productive day, and I'm off now to watch that Delia Smith programme and practise my knitting!!! New Year's Resolution. Never done it before and I am very slowly learning!!

See you tomorrow
