Samsung American style fridge freezer - SAFETY RECALL

Since I seem to recall this is the "MN Fridge" I thought I would share with you the scary letters that Samsung and Currys have been sending me about my R21DGRS side-by-side Fridge/Freezer

Bascially, they will send an engineer ouT to check/repair it free of charge. If you go to www.samsung.com/uk you can put in the details of your fridge and it will tell you if it needs one and let you log the call. I have no idea what they actually do when they come as I am waiting for the engineer to call and schedule the visit.

I got a 'phone call acknowledging that I had logged the call and saying that an engineer would be in touch within 14 days. I am sort of dreading it as it will no doubt involve emptying and defrosting 'fridge and freezer, but on the other hand it does undeniably need doing anyway

Hi i had my fridge fixed today took about 15 mins all the guy had to do was pull it out to get to the back of it.

no need to defrost frezer or empty the fridge i dont think that he even unpluged it!!

any way its a shame that i didnt know that i didnt need to empty it but it was in need of a post xmas clear out !

mykadot you probably shouldn't have told me that - ours desperately needs clearing out but given the option I might not actually get around to it
