I am not reliable and done pop in every day, but would like to have somewhere to check in

Mission is a goodun for me today, so will have to do that when I get DS to bed tonight, for now better get on with pretendin to work

wendyhappysmile · 18/01/2010 09:24

Hi DreamTeamGirl and Welcome
dyls thanks for the thread
Well DD up nearly every hour in the night and I had terrible stomach ache and this morning have the tummy upset she has had. Kept her off pre school just because she is so tired and may be sick still - last time yesterday morning so fingers crossed she is over the worst! DH took DS to school.

Going to take it easy today.
TM what measurements do you require?

Starbear · 18/01/2010 09:31

Morning All Dyls Thank you for the thread.
Wow you get a lot done before taking the kids out. What time do you get up? I must admit if I didn't have a long lazy cuddle with LB in the morning I would get more done!
DreamTeamGirl Welcome. Yes, this thread suit those who need to check in everyday or pop in only 3-4 times a week as I do. We are a friendly bunch and not the Steford-wives that some might think I would like to be a Stepford wife so I dion't have to go to work ha! ha!
Back in a mo with a list

Starbear · 18/01/2010 09:45

Going to use the radio schedule to help me tackle the boring jobs. Not sure about Woman's Hour as some of the subjects are depressing but a bit of a Comedy or Drama might help. I've linked here for any one else to use.

Morning all

Dylsmum - I've had that problem this morning DD up at 6 and 7 this morning, had to wake her up this morning at 7.45

DD lunch done and off to nursery
Been and bought myself an Ipod touch so i'm going to set that up this morning - wanted the iphone but can't justify the expense.
Off to gym for a personal Training session this morning, see if I can renew my workout
Shopping
Roast Chicken dinner for tea - Was supposed to be cooking this yesterday but ended up with a KFC whilst out. And I wonder why I don't lose weight
Book my sun holiday now i've got all the vouchers.

Back later. Hope everyone is well, will try and catch up on whats been happening over weekend

DreamTeamGirl · 18/01/2010 10:25

Thanks all

And can I just clarify, I have a sticky 'G' on keyboard, I don't really wander round typing in slang (e.g. pretendin)

Just to introduce myself- I have been hanging out on the new flyers thread since July/ August (whenever it started) as although I have been flying for years I have never done it properly
However I now have really good routines for mornings and evenings (which I almost always do) and a lovely control journal (which is a lie saver) and a daily jobs list (which I mainly ignore!)

Today
Morning stuff
(swish and swipe, bed made, LOL on) -done
Dishwasher emptied- done
beds made and breakfast stuff cleared- done

To do
Mission
Find lounge floor under 678 Power Rangers (should have done last night!)
Other stuff that will come to me

Wendy Hope DD is better soon
Starbear -Fab list! I have lisy envy
Dylsmum& thanks for thread and welcome
makingchanges I totally 'heart' KFC, tis my weakness, I can feel virtuous that I did eventually roast my chicken yesterday tho, and even made stock. Only cos DS was in bed and so I couldn't actually drive to KFC tho

DreamTeamGirl · 18/01/2010 10:26

Arggggg liesaver = lifesaver PREVIEW, PREVIEW, PREVIEW

Starbear · 18/01/2010 10:32

Dream I should point out it is a wish list really
Beds made done
15 mins in Ds's room mving furniture around.
I'm going to put the fan in the loft at last & some left over Christmas dec's {blush]
Dinner tonight will be Burgers & chips Not something that takes two hours and turns the kitchen upside down

TeaMonster · 18/01/2010 10:45

Morning lovleys

Starbear · 18/01/2010 10:48

I think I have an exercise avoidance syndrome
I have spend time on ds's bedroom instead of the gym or swimming
I'm now off to do some work, really

swanriver · 18/01/2010 10:56

So far, had horrid morning trying to fill in a CRB form, requiring referees, numbers, postcodes all of which I do not have.
Internet also failed so could not contact the person who coul helpp me fill in the form aargh.
and dd slipped on way to school, had to take her home again (making her doubly late) and put plaster on her hand, then forgot waterbottle, officially the most unreliable mother the office has ever seen.
Also, ds1 is refusing to do his leg exercises, saying it's cured so he doesn't care
All children in very loud shouty mood, ds2 constantly bellowing and telling rude jokes (which are not funny

On plus side
Homework taken in
children in school
library book taken in
breakfst cleared
menu-planned last night on blackboard

I like your list Starbear, it has put the CRB form in its place as a minor detail.

Finding place for not quite dirty clothes is problem in our house too.

Well, I suppose I better ring up the school and church try and sort out this reference knot.

swanriver · 18/01/2010 11:03

First problem sorted
now second, deep breath.

OverflowingMum · 18/01/2010 11:36

morning all
dreamtimegirl welcome. Don't worry about spelling - I don't LOL and my space bar is broken so my posts are often long strings of gibberish LOL

making changes wow gym and impressed

ofm hope you get some rest

have taken the form to school and had a natter with random staff members in office. so friendly in that school i REALLY want dd to get in [fingers crossed emotican]
played lego with dd
read story to dd
stripped dc beds
remade all beds
spent half hour clearing mess in bedroom, i shifted loads of childrens books from shelf where dd can't get to in bedroom, to shelves in living room she can. meaning i can use the space on bedroom shelves to put my uni books instead of having them piled up around the bedroom.

am bing asked to read dd another story, then to tidy and hoover the living room before lunch

OP posts:
swanriver · 18/01/2010 13:10

Spend 1hr on work work. Gone off the idea
W/M reloaded Done
Clean One corner Ds's room Done
Cup of tea with paper work now
MC I have to join you the excuses are silly now

Makingchanges · 18/01/2010 14:20

Swan - I don't envy you re the CRB. I have three enhanced checks and still not sure whether I need a 4th for governor or not.

Dreamteamgirl Welcome. Unfortunately what is probably worse about having a KFC yesterday was that the chicken was already cooked

Well I have been to gym, had a great session and got shown some new equipment to use that I always thought were for the musclebods but they are great so hopefully should be able to get back into things there.

Did miss a parcel whilst I was out though so thats two i've now got to pick up and typically they aren't at the same place.

Been and done shopping on way home so thats one job done. Got my assignment score back for the assignment that i've been doing since before xmas and got an A!! Yippee I'm becoming obsessive about checking on PGCE website for a decision on my interview as well. They need to let us know by Wednesday and its been well over a month since my interview.

Hooving done in lounge, now off to put some more washing in washing machine and tidy kitchen before picking DD up.

BBL

swanriver · 18/01/2010 14:43
