school trousers problem

daughter bought trousers and they were fine, falling nicely etc. After one wash at 40, they have become tight and sort of elastic-y, like they have too much lycra in them. washed them again then presses with wet cloth, still not become soft and drapey again. This happened once before with M&S school trousers these ones are from New Look. Any ideas?

try using a dry cloth...it might work better. i think the moisture makes them worse

or actually iron them without a cloth on the inside
