No time to explain the circumstances, just let's say DS1 has done a big wee on my mum's nhew .carpet from

mum due back later this aft, would love a quick solution to get him / out of trouble!!

get towel and soak up most of wet,wet and wring out cloth put on vinigar( to take away any smell) rub, get dry cloth or towel to soak up any excess water. repeat if necessay.

Also once you have got the worst of it up sprinkle with bicarbonate of soda and leave for a while before vaccuming. This should get rid of any lingering smells.
