I scrub it, the walls, tiles etc, I have put drain cleaner down the drain, yet is still smells. Not of sewage, just off.. so what do I need to do to get ridof the smell. It started about a month ago, and its really bothering me now.

Shower curtain? Maybe. Anything with limescale will smell off.

Try using a plunger on the drain. There is probably a build up of hair etc in there causing all the other gunky bits to collect and smell. I have two teenage DDs and they shed hair worse than any pet - I have recently bought a Dyson animal, not for pet hair but for teenage DD hair. I do insist that they collect and bin any visible hair from the drain, but plunging it still gets results. When you've done that rinse it with some very hot water.

MsAnne I had to use a thin bottle brush to get hair out from the plug whole

Once a fortnight I scrub out our shower with Cif. I also take the drain to pieces and scrub that out with an old toothbrush. This is seriously grotty and smelly. I think that's where the smell comes from. Bacteria. Hair. Slime. What's that? The drain in our shower pulls out and the inner bit unscrews. I also use the plunger on the top of the drain to flush out solid-ish stuff. When I've put the drain back together I pour thick toilet bleach down it and leave it for an hour before rinsing.

Why don't you buy some caustic soda - the sort that you use with boiling water from a kettle - and use that to clear out the drain? Nothing gets a drain clearer than caustic soda.

Cillit Bang limescale cleaner is very potent for dirty bathrooms.

I used to use Cillit Bang in the bathrooms. Had to stop when I became quickly allergic to it. I was absolutely gasping for breath when I opened it. Fantastic as a cleaner but terrible for your health.
