The sort like a mitten or glove rather than the ones for both hands with floppy bit of material in between.

Burnt fingers yesterday, ouch, hadn't noticed mine getting threadbare.

Thanks in advance.

I hate oven gloves nad find them very hard to use - I use an oven cloth, it's lik a thick tea towel and you fold it. Got it from a local market

Well, got 2 and then set one on fire

Not specific recommendation but have you tried Lakeland

I've got these from Robert Dyas and they're great.

I've got this Le Creuset one Can't afford the pots so made do with an oven glove

Oh my goodness, thank you so much for joining in, everyone. I had to go offline for a while (you know, that yawnsome parenting bit) and was convinced no-one would be dull kind enough to help. Will now buy in confidence.

By the way, I note that AvadaKedavra's suggestion is discounted by a mighty 1p at the moment
