you need a food flask ie a thermos with a wide neck

warm it with hot water, empty, fill with hot casserole / soup / pasta-in-sauce etc

remember to send spoon

Thank you Mrs Badger Just purchased a Food flask with an attached spoon not sure about the neck. I'm going to send him in with a bowl! It's only for one week Soup maybe a bit too sloppy for my lad. I've checked with school and they will help him with the lid.
On menu chilli con carne (without chilli!)Pumpkin veg stew, normallly we make it almost soup like but I'll hold back on the liquid Friday pasta with chicken I think I think. Thanks for reply

I've sent DS to school this week with the Jamie Oliver chickpea and pasta soup. It cools to a lump and you can add a cup of hot water and some chicken oxo to it to make it runnier, but it's still thicker than a lot of soups.

My dd1 used to take one of these to playschool as she Would. Not. Eat anything remotely like a sandwich.

We put pesto pasta in as it only took minutes in the morning. Top Tip : warm the flask first with hot hot water, for 10 mins or so.

After all that school is out today. Teachers were lovely and helped Ds put food in his 'QPR' bowl. Everything came back too which was good.
